Efforts to dismantle racism are foundational to achieving an equitable society. With this equity lens, we are intentionally choosing to center race as we continually examine our processes, policies, and practices through introspection, conversation, learning, and action. We value many forms of diversity and understand that many people experience intersecting oppressions. At the same time, a history of structural racism in the U.S. (where Converge is based) continues to contribute to inequities in all major indicators of success and wellness. By engaging tools like this equity lens, we can work toward a more equitable society and shift systems toward collective liberation for all.
